Cookies Policy

Last updated: 9 April 2026

1. What this Policy covers

This Cookies Policy explains how Latente Ltd. uses cookies and similar technologies on latente.app and related services.

For the purposes of this Policy, “cookies” also includes similar technologies that store or access information on your device, such as local storage, session storage and comparable browser or app technologies.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files or similar data items placed on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. They help a service recognise your browser or device, maintain security, remember necessary state, and enable essential features.

3. Cookies and similar technologies we currently use

At present, Latente uses strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies only.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, social media or cross-site tracking cookies on latente.app.

The strictly necessary technologies we use may include technologies needed to:

  • keep the website or web app secure;
  • maintain login or authentication state;
  • protect against fraud, abuse and unauthorised access;
  • complete checkout and payment flows;
  • remember operational preferences required for the Service to function;
  • support delivery of the site or app across our infrastructure; and
  • provide time-limited access to protected content such as unlock, gallery or download flows.

4. Local storage and similar technologies

The Latente web app may use local storage or similar browser storage to keep essential application state, such as authentication state, so that the Service works properly.

Because this storage is used to provide functionality you request, it is treated as a strictly necessary technology.

5. Third-party cookies or similar technologies

Some third-party providers involved in operating the Service may set strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies when you interact with their services through our website or app.

This may include:

  • payment providers, such as Stripe, to process payments, support authentication and reduce fraud;
  • infrastructure and security providers, where required to maintain site integrity, performance or abuse protection; and
  • other essential service providers used to deliver the Service you requested.

We do not control all third-party technologies, and their use may also be subject to the third party’s own cookie or privacy notice.

6. No optional analytics or advertising cookies at present

Latente does not currently deploy optional analytics or marketing cookies on latente.app.

If we introduce optional analytics, advertising, personalisation or similar technologies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent before using them.

7. Why we do not currently ask for cookie consent for optional cookies

Because Latente currently uses only strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies, we do not presently ask for consent for optional analytics or advertising cookies.

If our use changes, we will introduce an appropriate consent mechanism where required.

8. Managing cookies

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can usually:

  • block or delete cookies;
  • clear local storage or site data;
  • limit third-party cookies; and
  • configure browser preferences for future visits.

Please note that blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies or local storage may cause parts of the Service not to work properly, including login, checkout, unlock, gallery or download functions.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
